Getting your message across in a way that is clear and coherent is a critical skill in your professional and personal life. A workshop on how to communicate with confidence was conducted by Mrs. Krishna Mukherjee, a trained soft skills trainer, for the faculty members of Jain International Residential School and the coaches of Jain Academy of Sporting Excellence on 7 June 2019.

The workshop emphasized on the Albert Mehrabian model of communication. Great impetus was laid on the seven 'Cs' of communication - clear, concise, concrete, correct, consider the speaker, complete and courteous. It was reiterated that one can become an effective communicator and find more success in interactions with people by following the seven 'Cs'. This workshop identified the necessary ingredients of any conversation, and explored the communication process, guiding the attendees to become better and effective communicators. Over all, the workshop was an enriching one.
