On the occasion of India’s 73rd Independence Day on 15 August 2019, the staff and students of Jain International Residential School gathered to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who realized the dream of a free India by non-violent resistance and civil disobedience. The chief guest for this momentous ceremony was Air Commodore Jose Joseph, VSM, a distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force.

Independence Day was observed with flag-hoisting ceremony and parade. The national anthem, “Jana Gana Mana” was sung. This was followed by march past of the students. The chief guest paid rich tributes to the leaders of the Indian Independence Movement. The deep respect that the freedom struggle evokes was galvanized by the celebration of India as the beacon of hope.
